What does the Reiki 1 & 2 Two-Day Practitioner Course consist of?

Reiki is a holistic healing practice that channels energy through touch. It is typically taught in levels, with Level 1 and Level 2 being foundational stages in the Reiki journey. Here’s an overview of what each level consists of:

### Reiki Level 1

Reiki Level 1 is the starting point for learning about Reiki and practicing basic techniques.

– **Attunement**: A Reiki Master attunes the student, opening their energy channels to receive and transmit Reiki energy. This is a significant spiritual experience that enables you to start working with energy.

– **Reiki History and Principles**: You learn about the origins of Reiki, including the story of Mikao Usui, the founder of Reiki. You also explore the five Reiki principles or precepts, which are guiding values for Reiki practitioners:

**Self-Healing Techniques**: You learn to perform Reiki on yourself, a foundational skill in this practice.

**In-Person Healing**: You’ll practice techniques for giving Reiki to others, usually through hands-on touch. This includes learning the basic hand positions for different areas of the body.

**Practice and Sharing**: In a Level 1 class, you often practice Reiki on other students, building your confidence and skills. This environment allows you to experience Reiki from both the practitioner’s and the recipient’s perspective.

Reiki Level 2

Reiki Level 2 builds upon the foundation of Level 1, introducing more advanced techniques and applications.

– **Advanced Attunement**: This attunement further opens the student’s energy channels, enhancing their capacity to channel Reiki energy.

– **Reiki Symbols**: At this level, you’re introduced to three Reiki symbols:

**Distance Healing**: With the introduction of the distance symbol, you learn techniques to send Reiki to people who are not physically present.- **Advanced Healing Techniques**: Level 2 may include additional methods for enhancing energy flow and focusing on specific issues or areas of the body.

– **Ethics and Professionalism**: In Level 2, you might delve deeper into ethical considerations, client-practitioner boundaries, and best practices for working with others in a professional or therapeutic setting.

– **Certification and Practice**: At the end of Level 2, you typically receive certification, enabling you to practice Reiki professionally if desired. The course often involves significant hands-on practice and may conclude with a discussion about continuing your Reiki journey.

Both levels encourage you to explore and deepen your connection to Reiki energy, whether for self-improvement, helping others, or both.
